December 12th 2009 marked history for the Harvest Center. The center celebrated its first ever Small Business Award Banquet. The City of
LaGrange, in recognition of the Center,
issued a Proclamation, the week
of December 13th through December 19th, which is “Small Business Development Week”. The Center will continue to strive to strengthen communities through education and economic empowerment by encouraging entrepreneurship.
The Keynote Speaker, Chris Gloss
Some call him “The Possibilitarian”, the Harvest Center and their guest discovered that Chris Gloss is truly a motivator, and business coach. Speaking on the topic, “When Things Go Wrong Don’t Go With Them”,
the title of his latest book, Chris Gloss received a standing ovation.

Small Business of the Year
Harvest Center Group receives City of LaGrange Proclamation.
Small businesses traveled from as far
as New York (Bread and Soup Ministries) to celebrate
the occasion. Runner ups, were Norwood Trucking, Bread and Soup Ministries,
C&G, LLC, and Mighty Joe Trucking. Mama Hope delivered entertainment that caused laughter to explode throughout the room as soon as she walked out. Cameron Catering Service prepared a meal that was “finger licking” good, and caused everyone to forget about a diet for that day.
