Opportunity I

Grant Name: Veterans Workforce Investment Program (VWIP)

Grant Description: Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS), announces a grant competition under the Veterans’ Workforce Investment Program (VWIP) for Program Year (PY) 2010, as authorized under Section 168 of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998. This Solicitation for Grant Applications (SGA) notice contains all of the necessary information and forms needed to apply for grant funding. Selected programs will assist eligible Veterans by providing employment, training, support services, credentialing, networking information, and/or other assistance. Under this PY 2010 SGA, VETS anticipates that up to $2 million will be available for grant awards up to a maximum of $500,000 for each grant award. VETS anticipates approximately 4 awards will be made under this solicitation with the possibility of additional awards contingent upon applicant funding.

Opportunity II

Grant Name: Assisted Housing Stability and Energy and Green Retrofit

Grant Description: Grants and loans will be made available through HUD’s Office of Affordable Housing Preservation (OAHP) for eligible property owners to make energy and green retrofit investments in the property, to ensure the maintenance and preservation of the property, the continued operation and maintenance of energy efficiency technologies.
